Coming from Neohori, direction Volos,
Zervohia is lying some kilometres westwards below the village Afetes. Zervohia, at the side of the Pagasitikos gulf is a very important settlement belonging to Neohori. It is embedded by plantings of olive and fruits. You will get some wonderful panorama views to the gulf and the mountains of the Pilion. Like at
Lai and
Plaka, old Byzantine ruins of fortresses have been found just as ruins and graves at the beach of Pirgos.
At Prigos and Ramnos real good beaches are inviting you to stay. The longest beach at the gulf Pagasitikos is the beach of Ramnos, quite and tranquil, - something for real gourmets! Very impressive are the plantings of olive and fruits, which contacts directly the beach and filled the whole plain up to the little border stream (region of Neohori/region of Milies). The area around this little stream is declared to be protected because of its very important swamp biotope in the southern of the peninsula.
In the last few years the region of Zervohia passed a strong development. A lot of European people particularly from the German spoken countries, and Greek people, coming back from abroad, are building up houses to spend the summer here, or to even for to stay for ever. You can find now nice hotels and apartments, as well as some taverns and restaurants.
Come to have a look, enjoy the life on the mountain or at the beach you are friendly invited!
